Line up the statements by period and check that each one's beginning balance equals the previous one's ending balance. During the rebrand years you may find a mix of SunTrust and Truist headers in the same year, which is fine. What matters is that the balance chain has no breaks. A break means a missing month, and you will need to request it from Truist before the converted CSVs can reconcile.
Why do check transactions in my CSV have no payee?
The statement itself only prints the check number and amount, so there is no payee for the converter to pick up. Keep the check number column in your output and match it against your check register or the check images in Truist online banking. In QuickBooks, entering the check first and then matching the imported line by number and amount is quicker than editing each imported row.
